Welcome Back to Term 2 – Year 6
This term we start our new topic ‘A Child’s War’ during history lesson, and this links directly to our text: ‘The Missing’ by Michael Rosen. All our art lessons will contribute to our understanding of World War II. Pupils may be asking about their relatives and family history during this term.
We continue thinking about families as we learn about evolution, Charles Darwin and DNA. We will be looking at inherited and non-inherited characteristics; searching for patterns in any measurements we take.
We continue to go swimming each Tuesday, this is also our P.E. day.
Our trip to Dover Castle, which was postponed due to adverse weather conditions, has been re-arranged for Thursday 7th March 2024.
